The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking an experienced Account Executive, CTV to join us in Los Angeles. In this role you will function as our west coast lead for CTV and programmatic sales and activation; accountable for growing our CTV business relationships for video advertising across all The E. W. Scripps platforms. This role is responsible for growing the Scripps footprint on a national level by working with agencies and advertisers who are using an automated and data driven approach to buying linear advertising.

This role is a remote role based out of Los Angeles, CA. Therefore, this person must reside in the LA area to be considered for this role.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Develop strong and mutually valuable relationships with key national agencies and advertisers, with an emphasis on media & entertainment.

  • Identify, develop and grow national CTV and digital revenue through relationships with national agencies (both GM & Performance based) and brands via Direct and Programmatic deals.

  • Apply a consultative sales approach to super-serve our client’s video audience needs.

  • Work cross-functionally with a variety of teams such as Revenue Operations, Distribution, Broadcasting and Marketing to build and implement client campaigns.

  • Track sales activity Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to exceed ad sales revenue and profit goals.

  • Proactively manage private exchange revenue, including executing on short and long-term inventory needs.

  • Work closely with both the Product and Revenue Operations team to optimize fill rates for inventory to Scripps’ standards.

  • Work strategically to optimize programmatic buying for television (addressable), advanced television and mobile inventory.

  • Analyze inventory and revenue data each day to optimize revenue across all sites.

  • Collaborate with Scripps’ CTV Platform/Biz Dev team to identify partners with low/zero share across our portfolio

  • Establish relationships with agency trading desk personnel, and in-house programmatic clients, in the interest of growing Scripps share of business within their CTV ad spend.

  • Ensure that our clients receive the highest level of customer care.

  • Monitor yield across all Scripps networks, communicating trends and evaluating revenue impact.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience

  • Generally, 5+ years of experience in related field preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 15%

  • Must be located in the Los Angeles, CA area

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Demonstrated success developing and growing a book of business for video advertising

  • Self-motivated, understands objectives and forges a path to reach them

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strong agency relations, including in-house agency trade desks, programmatic buyers and demand side platform partners

  • Exposure to/experience with multiple programmatic buying platforms

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; must be able to respond to frequent demands of multiple customers - both internal and external

  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to make data-driven decisions

  • Proven success in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on, “get stuff done” attitude

  • Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously

COMPENSATION RANGE:Annual Salary: $150,000.00 - 175000


 

Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in California.
