ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, CLIENT PARTNERSHIPS

 

Summary:

The Account Executive role is a revenue generating position.  Efforts in this position will be focused on generating new business in an assigned category or within a territory.  This inside sales position will be calling clients and agencies remotely and may include minimal travel.  For out of market positions, focus will be on face-to-face meetings within territory with key clients and agencies.  This position will initially focus on small to mid-size agencies and clients.

 

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Manage all aspects of the sales function including development of new and incremental business by prospecting new clients & agencies, determine needs, proposing appropriate programs directly to them and closing the business.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and agencies.
  • Maintain your own pipeline through CRM system and keep all forecasts up to date.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
  • Work as part of the team and maintain the teamwork culture at GSTV by helping and sharing with co-workers.
  • Make independent decisions as it relates to programs offered and rates within GSTV guidelines in order to close business.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Successful track record of selling media to automotive, insurance, government, banking, retail, QSR/CDR or within assigned territory.
  • Successful track record of working with agencies.
  • Ability to self-generate leads.
  • Success in qualifying, prospecting and closing via the phone & email.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-growing, rabidly changing entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to think and plan strategically.
  • Good interpersonal skills, phone communication skills & email skills

  • Ability to work in a fun, open environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
  • Quick to absorb new information and capabilities.
  • Ability to present in 1:1 setting, large groups and to C-level executives.

  • Skilled at negotiating and getting others excited about your product.
  • Highly organized & flexible
  • Computer literate and understanding of basic CRM, Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint
  • Minimal travel required that may include overnight stay.

 

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Agency contacts and client relationships in existing category/territory

 

Education and/or Experience:

BA/BS degree from a leading U.S. or International University in related field, as well as 2+ years of advertising sales experience within digital, OOH, TV, cable or radio related experience.
