Guild is hiring for an Account Director to drive net new business for Guild by voicing support for strategic value of education benefits for Mid-Enterprise companies (i.e. companies with <40k US employees).
As an Account Director you will be responsible for initiating senior level client relationships in partnership with a Business Development Representative to close net new business. You will own the sales process end-to-end while employing various sales strategies including prospecting, call planning, account planning and org mapping in an effort to drive positive sales outcomes. This position demands a strategic approach to engage with senior level executives, focusing on developing deep and comprehensive relationships within an account list of up to 35 accounts.
As an Account Director, you will:- Engage with C-suite and VP level executives at mid-enterprise companies to generate new business and grow revenue through meetings and phone calls
- Develop and progress pipeline through prospecting, including partnering with our BDR and ABM teams
- Identify and research potential clients within the target market
- Generate and qualify leads through various channels, such as cold calls, emails, and social media
- Leverage pre-built strategic customer-facing presentations and proposals to cultivate champions within your accounts
- Conduct initial client meetings and product demonstrations
- Build rapport and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs and challenges
- Collaborate with the team to respond to client inquiries and provide information on products and services
- Support the development and execution of strategic account plans to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of products and services that meet client requirements
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for clients to drive sales.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors
- Assist in contract negotiations and manage contract agreements with clients
- 3+ years field sales experience in a closing role (bonus if you’ved worked with healthcare providers specifically and/or have sold into HR decision makers)
- Recent experience managing and closing complex sales cycles
- Involved in supporting selling contract values larger than $1M
- Experience in a startup or similar fast-paced environment where there is frequent change and rapid growth expectations
- A persistent sense of urgency and the ability to create urgency within accounts and with internal stakeholders
- Above average organizational and presentation skills

We are committed to equal pay for equal work and believe in compensation transparency. All salary ranges are standardized nationwide and will not vary by region. This role offers a competitive total compensation package, including a base salary range of $125,000-$149,100 plus significant commissions eligibility as well as company stock options. Compensation offered will be based on a combination of factors such as experience, competencies, and internal equity.
