As an ABM Marketing Manager at Chainguard, you will lead 1:1 Account-Based Marketing (ABM) initiatives for high-value strategic accounts, empowering organizations to secure their software supply chain. You will partner with sales, field marketing, product marketing, and strategic account teams to develop and execute multi-channel ABM programs rooted in Chainguard’s mission to deliver end-to-end security and transparency for modern software development. Your work will enhance our impact with customers who prioritize security, trust, and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, execution, and optimization of 1:1 ABM campaigns for strategic accounts—tailoring messaging, content, events, and engagement strategies that showcase Chainguard’s commitment to securing open source and enterprise software.

  • Collaborate with Field Marketing and Events to leverage existing Chainguard-sponsored events and/or design bespoke experiences for strategic accounts, highlighting our unique approach to software provenance and integrity.

  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, BDRs, digital, campaigns, and product marketing teams to ensure ABM initiatives align to account objectives and the trusted buyer personas—spanning CISOs, software engineering leaders, and infrastructure decision-makers seeking robust supply chain security.

  • Champion data-driven insights and reporting by utilizing tools such as Clay Intent Data and Salesforce to monitor engagement, measure pipeline impact, and optimize ROI. Translate data into actionable recommendations for campaign enhancements, all while driving towards Chainguard’s standards of transparency and measurable business outcomes.

  • Drive executive engagement by partnering with sales leadership to develop high-impact, executive-level programs. Foster alignment and trust with C-level decision-makers in key industries by communicating Chainguard’s value in addressing evolving security threats.

  • Innovate ABM outreach through modern tactics, including themed call blitzes focused on pressing supply chain pain points, strategic gifting aligned with Chainguard’s “secure by default” ethos, and multi-channel personalization with tailored playbooks that demonstrate our depth in security and developer experience.

Experience
  • 7+ years of B2B marketing experience in startups and high-growth/scaled technology organizations, including at least 3 years leading ABM and enterprise demand generation programs for security-focused products or developer platforms.

  • Deep familiarity with marketing technical solutions to developer and technical audiences—particularly CISOs, security teams, and software engineering/infrastructure leaders. Experience with open source and enterprise cloud platforms is strongly valued.

  • Experience collaborating closely with sales teams to achieve ambitious revenue goals in a rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape.

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with data, enabling measurement of campaign engagement, performance, and impact, all in the context of Chainguard’s commitment to evidence-based decision-making.

  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, thriving in Chainguard’s culture of high trust, transparency, and continuous improvement.

We don’t take ourselves too seriously (but we do serious work) - We are solving an important problem which takes focus, but we also like to enjoy the journey.

We trust each other and assume good intentions - We’re transparent with decisions to empower team members to make well informed decisions.

  • Flexible & Remote-First Culture: Work remotely with team meetup opportunities, bi-annual destination summits, and a monthly stipend for coworking spaces, phone and internet costs.
  • Our Approach to Equity:  Receive stock options upon hire and promotion. Plus, you can participate in secondary offerings and have 10 years to exercise your options (yes, you read that correctly: 10 years!).
  • 100%  Covered Health Insurance: We cover 100% of your health, vision and dental insurance premiums for you and your dependents. Nothing comes out of your paycheck.
  • ∞ Flexible Time Off: Take the time you need – to do our best work, we need to recharge and reset.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
