What You'll DoAs a Design Intern you will gain hands-on experience working at the intersection of multiple design disciplines from Product, Branding, Interior Design and Customer Experience. Collaborating across groups to contribute value-driven solutions, iterated and presented through immersive digital and physical environments. As a part of our team, you'll have access to our full-scale mockup and prototype lab and creative design studio in our new headquarters located directly on the historic Long Beach Airport.
What You'll BringYou are passionate about accelerating the future of aerospace and crave the opportunity to join a team of like-minded individuals.
- Minimum Junior level status in an accredited Industrial Design, Interaction Design, Visual Effects, Interior Design and Architecture (or similar) degree or certification.
- Ability to work onsite in Long Beach 5 days a week.
- Excellent aesthetic sensibility and skill to create engaging and cohesive design content, both in 2D, 3D and in physical prototypes
- Foundational understanding of design research, ideation and development processes
- Hands-on ability to prototype, build, and iterate your ideas with efficiency.
- Hand sketching and rendering skills and ability to rapidly communicate your ideas
- Experience with software tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Fusion360, Rhino3D, Solidworks, Unreal Engine is preferred

Compensation:
Our compensation for this role is $25-$35/hr. We consider a number of factors when presenting a final offer, including geography, internal equity and years of experience and expertise.

Depeneding on the position you are interviewing for, there may also be a Take Home Exercise as part of the interview proccess. Our assessments seek to test the hard skills required to do the job. Your recruiter will inform you of which assessment you will be assigned and ensure you are fully prepared for your big day.
