What You’ll Do

As an IT intern, you’ll join one of our internal technology teams and work on real projects that support DIRECTV’s business operations and digital transformation. You’ll gain hands-on experience, learn from experienced mentors, and build skills that will help launch your career. You might work on:

  • Creating dashboards and automation tools to improve internal systems
  • Building and testing parts of websites and internal platforms
  • Helping with network upgrades and cloud migrations
  • Analyzing data to support business decisions
  • Testing new tools and features before they launch
  • Improving system monitoring and performance tracking
  • Supporting internal process improvements and team collaboration

You’re a great fit if you:

  • Are working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM field (like Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or Data Science)
  • Enjoy solving problems and learning new technologies
  • Communicate well and work well with others
  • Have experience or coursework in programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, C/C++, HTML/CSS, etc.
  • Are familiar with tools like AWS, REST APIs, Oracle, Linux/Unix, Tableau, or Power BI (a plus, not required!)
  • Can work effectively in a virtual team environment
  • Have solid technical key competencies like Agile development & teamwork, Software design & architecture, Cloud computing & infrastructure, Full-stack development, Data analysis & visualization, Software testing & quality assurance, and Design thinking & innovation.

Program Details

  • Duration: 10-week remote internship (This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the United States. #LI-Remote)
  •  Start Dates: June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026, or June 15, 2026 – August 21, 2026
  • Eligibility: Must have full U.S. work authorization now and in the future
  • This position can earn $25 - $34 per hour, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at DIRECTV offers. (Hourly rate based on academic status)
