About Ares Private Equity
Ares Private Equity North American Growth Buyout Team pursues investments in growth-oriented middle market companies in North America. We invest in growth companies with great leadership to build and accelerate growth in market leaders. We seek to invest in high-quality middle market companies in our core industries - Healthcare, Services, Industrials and Consumer - where we can utilize our extensive growth-oriented investing experience, proprietary Value Creation System, and our ability to flex into distressed to seek to generate consistent returns across market environments.
2026 Analyst – Roles and Responsibilities
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong interest in investing in a wide variety of industries and transaction structures. This role focuses on leadership, initiative, demonstrated history of excellence, and problem solving in the capabilities. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Participate in diligence discussions with the Private Equity group’s investment committee
- Develop detailed diligence plans and drive efficient execution
- Interpret credit agreements, legal agreements and other transaction documentation
- Partner closely with portfolio company management teams to drive growth initiatives
- Building and updating integrated financial models
- Analyzing company and industry research
- Gaining exposure to investment recommendations and preparing investment committee memos
- Evaluating relative value and how to “price” the risk vs. reward of an investment opportunity
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting (other majors also considered) with anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and August 2026.
- Completed a summer 2025 internship in banking, finance, private equity, or consulting
- Have a track record of academic excellence and participation in campus activities
- A passion for contributing to and operating within a collaborative corporate culture
- Knowledge of finance and accounting; previous experience in these areas a plus but not required
- General aptitude and willingness to learn
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Novice to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task
- Initiative and a strong entrepreneurial mindset
- Looking to begin employment after graduation in August 2026
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Compensation: The base salary (subject to change) is $120,000

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
