Role Overview:

The Sr. System Engineer leads the design, development, and operations of Connected Car systems, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability. This role oversees system architecture, capacity planning, incident response, infrastructure coordination, and middleware management while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, highly available solutions.
What you will do

  • Lead end‑to‑end design, development, and implementation of Connected Car systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Coordinate across internal teams, external vendors, and technical stakeholders to deliver system enhancements, upgrades, and operational support.
  • Monitor and optimize system health, availability, capacity, network performance, and security posture.
  • Drive incident and problem resolution, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and provide timely technical updates to stakeholders.
  • Plan and implement automation, new technologies, and CI/CD capabilities to enhance system operations and reliability.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation covering system design, infrastructure, configuration, and operational processes.

Basic Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator (RedHat, CentOS, Rocky Linux) including patching, performance tuning, monitoring, and scripting (bash/perl).
  • 7+ years of IT experience in system design, architecture, and development using Java or similar technologies.
  • Proven experience designing and supporting highly available, large‑scale systems handling millions of transactions daily.
  • Strong knowledge of WebLogic and Tomcat administration—deployment, configuration, tuning, clustering, and troubleshooting.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Telematics, Telecommunications, Automotive, or IoT‑connected products.
  • Experience with wireless connectivity technologies and IoT system configuration.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, ELK, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Strong understanding of networking, load balancing, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, and security fundamentals.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver complex IT solutions and upgrades.
  • Demonstrated expertise in system migration, platform upgrades, middleware-level RCA, and JVM performance management.


Salary Range - $103,170 to $158,873
