Leads enterprise tax strategy, compliance, planning, and accounting for a specialty reinsurance organization. Oversees federal, state, local, premium, international, and transfer-pricing matters; tax provisions, accruals, reconciliations, audits, and regulatory filings. Partners with accounting, legal, treasury, parent-company teams, and external advisors while managing tax research, process documentation, and tax-related financial calculations. Requires substantial P&C insurance tax experience, leadership capability, and strong collaboration skills.

Provides corporate legal counsel across governance, contracts, regulatory compliance, privacy, cybersecurity, employment, tax, technology, vendor management, and insurance operations. Responsibilities include supporting boards and shareholders, reviewing audit materials, managing vendor contracts, advising on transactions and M&A, preparing regulatory filings, developing compliance programs, and guiding risk management. The role requires practical business advice, strong legal analysis, leadership, negotiation, communication, and 10–15 years of counsel experience, ideally in insurance or reinsurance.

Supports insurance financial data analysis, source-to-target reconciliation, data conversions, reference data maintenance, and financial close activities. Validates premium calculations, investigates variances, supports General Ledger reporting, and documents audit and SOX evidence. Owns business and technical stories, manages development backlogs, coordinates testing and releases, and partners with finance, developers, QA teams, project managers, and senior leaders to deliver data and systems enhancements.

Underwrites new and renewal Financial Institutions business, evaluates complex risks and transactions, manages compliance and documentation, develops broker and client relationships, drives profitable portfolio growth, and mentors junior underwriters. The role also collaborates with internal and external partners, maintains service standards, and supports innovative insurance product solutions in a data-driven specialty reinsurance environment.
