Responsibilities include software requirements, architecture, coding, command and control systems, subsystem integration, unit and automated testing, documentation, hardware integration, and peer mentorship. The role requires Rust or C/C++ experience, asynchronous Rust, embedded ARM development, processor optimization, and software development process leadership.

Develop and lead embedded flight software for spacecraft missions using Rust or C/C++. Responsibilities include software architecture, requirements, command and control systems, hardware integration, automated testing, CI pipelines, documentation, and system integration. The role also provides technical mentorship and leads test campaigns for reliable, fault-tolerant space and payload software.

Provides technical leadership for complex space missions spanning spacecraft, ground, launch, mission operations, and mission design. Owns the technical baseline, requirements, interfaces, architecture, technical risks, systems documentation, customer presentations, and major program reviews. Supports SAR and remote sensing mission design, modeling and simulation, flight operations, ground-system sustainment, software maintenance, customer training, and acceptance activities while coordinating multidisciplinary teams, partners, program leadership, and customers.

Lead the architecture, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and platform infrastructure supporting satellite operations, analytics, machine learning, and business decisions. Build data warehouses, lakehouse systems, data models, and dbt transformations; operate platforms using Databricks and related cloud services; and ensure data quality, reliability, security, governance, observability, lineage, and cost efficiency. Collaborate with product owners and multidisciplinary engineering teams on data requirements and platform capabilities.

Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable backend services and APIs that support satellite mission planning, scheduling, command/control, and communications. Own production services, improve resiliency, participate in on-call rotations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver and operate autonomous satellite operations software with strong observability, testing, and CI/CD practices.

Lead design, analysis, build, and test of spacecraft mechanisms and pointing systems. Own architecture, component selection, motorization and pointing budgets, ICDs, qualification campaigns, and verification testing. Mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot hardware issues, and support launch/test activities to ensure flight-proven, manufacturable designs.

The Embedded Systems Engineer will develop firmware for satellite systems, focusing on embedded development, hardware integration, and system validation, working in a cross-functional environment.

Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary Space Systems engineering team responsible for spacecraft design, test, implementation and delivery. Oversee personnel management, scheduling, technical quality, hiring, career development, and cross-functional coordination. Apply traditional and Agile practices to drive program execution, process improvements, and stakeholder reporting for mission-ready satellite systems.

Design, build, operate, and scale mission-critical cloud infrastructure. Ensure reliability and SLAs, run on-call rotations, lead architecture and automation (IaC/GitOps), optimize Kubernetes, implement monitoring/alerting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and reliability.

Lead product marketing for Space Systems or Remote Sensing & Mission Solutions: develop positioning, messaging, and customer-facing content; support go-to-market launches and ABM; produce sales enablement assets; analyze pipeline via CRM and dashboards; conduct market/competitive research and coordinate cross-functional marketing initiatives.
