Laurey Lou is part of the Asians of Ro ERG, where shared cultural experiences among members has made her feel accepted. The company’s intentional curation of safe spaces goes a long way toward ensuring that employees are seen and heard. “Over the past couple years, this meant processing news together that might hit closer to home,” Lou said. Some of Ro’s ERG programming is open to the whole company, creating team-building opportunities in the form of cultural education and holiday celebrations, from events showcasing music, dancing and food to book club conversations with AAPI authors.
