Leads the design, development, administration, and optimization of enterprise data pipelines and Microsoft Fabric data platforms. Responsibilities include ETL/ELT architecture, medallion layers, data quality, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, security, hybrid connectivity, disaster recovery, performance optimization, and troubleshooting. The role also mentors engineers, establishes technical standards, supports architecture reviews, and provides senior-level guidance for secure, scalable, reliable data platform implementations.

Leads enterprise data governance for federal and DoD environments, developing standards, classification and access policies, quality thresholds, retention frameworks, metadata practices, steward networks, and governance workflows. Configures Microsoft Purview controls, validates RBAC through Microsoft Entra ID, supports Master Data Management, facilitates governance boards, and reports on governance maturity.

Lead the design and development of mission-relevant software, build backend services and APIs, mentor engineers, and support technical demos.

Design, build, test, and deploy secure mission-planning software. Maintain secure CI/CD, containerized deployments, automated testing, and security-scanning workflows. Integrate AI capabilities, investigate vulnerabilities, support remediation, produce technical design documentation, and collaborate with stakeholders and customer leads.

Develop secure, data-rich frontend features using React and TypeScript for a DoD mission-planning platform. Integrate UIs with backend APIs, support map-based and AI-enabled decision-support workflows, write unit/integration tests, participate in code reviews and security remediation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams with periodic onsite sprint planning in Laurel, MD.

Integrate LLMs, RAG, and agentic-AI into secure decision-support software. Design prompts and inference workflows, connect AI to backend services, evaluate outputs, build tests, document designs, and collaborate with engineering, security, and DevSecOps teams to deliver reliable mission-capable AI features.

Build, test, and integrate secure backend services and APIs for DoD mission-planning. Work on REST and gRPC services, asynchronous workflows, geospatial databases, containerized deployments, CI/CD, automated tests, and vulnerability remediation while collaborating with AI/ML, frontend, and cybersecurity teams.

Lead Air Force-focused business development: build customer and partner relationships, identify and qualify mission-aligned opportunities, create an Air Force pipeline, open accounts, develop teaming strategies, and work with capture, proposal, and delivery teams through opportunity lifecycle. Represent Rackner at meetings and events; remain hands-on throughout capture and award.
