Develop state estimation and prediction algorithms for autonomous spacecraft operations. Build, test, benchmark, and deploy classical and neural models for tracking targets, forecasting trajectories, inferring intent, and assessing threats. Integrate models with mission simulations and autonomy systems while collaborating with perception and onboard autonomy teams to improve robustness and scalability.

Build and maintain Lodestar’s mission simulation environment for autonomous space defense systems. Responsibilities include developing high-fidelity sensor and orbital environment models in Unreal Engine, creating software- and hardware-in-the-loop test benches, designing distributed simulation services, and owning telemetry and regression tooling. The role collaborates with perception, prediction, decision, and mission teams to establish simulation fidelity and validate flight software across reproducible scenarios and CI pipelines.

Lead end-to-end federal capture and proposal operations for high-value defense and space opportunities. Develop capture strategies, shape requirements with government stakeholders, manage proposal development and compliance, write and edit technical and executive content, maintain proposal libraries, conduct win/loss analyses, and build a capture team to grow Lodestar's federal business.

Develops computer vision and machine learning perception algorithms for autonomous space-threat detection. Responsibilities include training, evaluating, optimizing, and deploying models; predicting relative pose of dynamic targets; integrating perception into simulations and real-time autonomy pipelines; creating sensor models and digital twins; and maintaining model-training and evaluation infrastructure.

Write compliant, evaluator-ready technical and management proposal volumes for DoD/space customers. Decompose solicitations, produce compliance matrices, coordinate cross-functional inputs, maintain reusable content, and manage proposal schedules to win contracts across RFPs, OTAs, SBIRs, and other acquisition vehicles.

Develop decision-making algorithms for space autonomy systems, integrating perception and control models to enable real-time intelligent operations in communications-limited environments.
