Provide operational leadership and oversight during assigned shifts to ensure safe patient care, staffing, bed control, and timely communication. Coordinate admissions/transfers, support staff development and conflict resolution, lead quality and safety initiatives, and implement policies to optimize patient flow and departmental performance.

Provide direct med-surg nursing care including assessments, medication administration, procedures, patient education, documentation, care coordination with physicians and interprofessional teams. Assume leadership roles (charge nurse, preceptor), participate in quality, safety, and shared governance initiatives, and support unit efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Coordinate day-to-day clinical research activities: screen and enroll patients, schedule study procedures, collect and enter research data, maintain regulatory and study records, report adverse events, and follow ICH/GCP and IRB procedures under supervision.

Provide law enforcement and security services across Houston Methodist: patrol facilities, monitor surveillance and access points, respond to dispatches, control disruptive individuals for arrest, complete incident reports, maintain HIPAA and safety compliance, and participate in trainings and drills.

Provide on-site law enforcement and security services across Houston Methodist facilities. Enforce laws and ordinances, respond to dispatches, patrol and monitor premises, secure individuals, complete reports, assist with arrests, and support emergency preparedness while maintaining HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

Provide overnight, in-house OB/GYN coverage for Labor & Delivery, obstetric triage, and emergency gynecology. Work 15-hour night shifts (5:00pm–8:00am), manage laboring and high-acuity obstetric patients, perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries as needed, supervise residents, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
