Provides hospital-wide operational leadership on the evening shift, overseeing staffing, patient flow, admissions, discharges, transfers, bed control, emergency response, quality, safety, finances, and administrative issues. The role coordinates interdisciplinary teams, supports patient care, resolves conflicts, manages staffing and operational efficiency, mentors staff, facilitates process improvement, and communicates with executives and external media when needed.

Transports acute, intensive, critical-care, inpatient, and outpatient patients throughout the hospital using wheelchairs, stretchers, beds, and transport carts. Safely handles IVs, Foley catheters, infusion pumps, oxygen, isolation precautions, and patient handoffs. Communicates with nursing and ancillary departments, maintains and disinfects equipment, supports fall and infection prevention, manages assignments, and provides positive patient service. May train new transporters and move beds, furnishings, and other equipment.

Work 15-hour night shifts (5:00pm–8:00am), manage laboring and high-acuity obstetric patients, perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries as needed, supervise residents, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
