Provides technical direction for production robotics autonomy systems spanning perception, localization, mapping, planning, and control. Architects stable interfaces, improves software quality, leads complex reliability investigations, translates robotics research into deployed capabilities, and mentors senior engineers across teams. The role focuses on field-ready systems for legged and wheeled robots, real-time performance, fleet observability, and reliable operation in challenging environments.

Design, train, and deploy state-of-the-art deep learning models (transformers, CNNs) for end-to-end navigation. Build perception, prediction, and planning solutions, implement data pipelines, deploy and monitor models in production, detect drift, and troubleshoot integration and performance issues for real-world robotic systems.

Integrate humanoid hardware and software subsystems into a cohesive, deployable robot stack. Own bring-up, calibration, diagnostics, validation, and system-level debugging across perception, planning, locomotion, manipulation, controls, sensors, compute, and networking. Develop integration and regression tests, telemetry tools, dashboards, and release workflows while partnering with cross-functional teams to harden research into maintainable, field-ready modules.

Develop, integrate, test, and improve humanoid manipulation and loco-manipulation behaviors on real hardware. Integrate perception, planning, control, grasping, and whole-body coordination into deployable workflows; run daily hardware experiments, analyze failures, and iterate toward reliable field deployments. Collaborate with systems, hardware, field, and testing teams and support teleoperation, data collection, and evaluation frameworks.

Own program-level coordination across AI/ML research and engineering workstreams, tracking commitments, timelines, risks, blockers, and priorities. Translate customer and product requirements into internal plans, support customer deployments, communicate tradeoffs, and drive cross-functional resolution. Build lightweight reporting systems and partner with technical leaders without directing technical decisions. The role requires experience managing AI/ML programs, working with customers, and operating effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Design, prototype, and validate mechanical systems for fielded robotics payloads including ruggedized enclosures, mounts, thermal management, and manufacturability. Perform CAD, FEA, thermal simulation, testing (vibration, ingress, thermal), vendor coordination, production support, and cross-functional integration with electrical and compute teams to ensure reliable field deployment.

Own and ship behavior and mission orchestration software that turns autonomy into repeatable, reliable field missions. Architect behavior orchestration, human-robot interaction, mission execution and fallback, validate on physical platforms, close the loop from field data to product, lead design reviews, and mentor cross-functional teams.

Lead QA for software releases, perform manual and automated UI testing, triage and document defects, build lightweight test automation scripts, ensure end-to-end data quality for 3D spatial/point cloud and BIM outputs, and collaborate with engineering and data teams to resolve processing issues and improve pipelines.

Design and deploy real-time 3D scene and traversability representations for robot navigation. Develop and maintain perception, localization, and sensor-fusion systems (LiDAR, cameras, RADAR, IMU, GPS). Take prototypes to production on physical robots, validate via simulation and field testing, debug field issues, and build metrics, regression tests, and validation infrastructure while collaborating with autonomy, controls, and field teams.

Design, build, and manage hardware test and quality-control infrastructure for robotic systems. Execute mechanical, electrical, and sensor validation, support certifications, develop IQC/OQC processes, monitor fleet reliability (MTBF/MTTR), and lead failure analysis and field maintenance to ensure production readiness and durable deployments.

Lead design and delivery of rugged sensor modules for field robots: select and integrate LiDAR, cameras, GNSS and gas sensors; own calibration, time sync, ruggedization, validation, and data pipelines; coordinate cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers to scale production-ready reality-capture payloads.

Integrate new robot platforms into a fleet: build ROS/ROS2 abstraction layers, validate controls and navigation on legged and wheeled robots, perform sim-to-real testing (Isaac/Gazebo/MuJoCo), collaborate on electro-mechanical integration, run SIL/HIL validation, implement safety layers, and support field deployments and charging/docking infrastructure.

Design and integrate audio-visual and industrial-design hardware for field robots, selecting displays, speakers, microphones, lighting, and CMF. Drive interaction and expressiveness through motion and UI/UX collaboration, prototype with CAD and 3D printing, write validation scripts for firmware/display, and balance SWaP, durability, and manufacturability for rugged field deployments.

Manage end-to-end supply continuity for robotics hardware: material planning, supplier negotiations, inventory optimization, production readiness, NPI support, vendor quality/RMA handling, asset tracking, and cross-functional alignment to meet production and delivery schedules while controlling cost and risk.

Design and build distributed ML infrastructures to optimize data processing, model training, and evaluation among teams.

Own end-to-end connectivity for field robot deployments (Wi‑Fi, cellular, routers). Configure and recover field routers, troubleshoot coverage, cellular/SIM, and AP/backhaul issues; build monitoring/diagnostics, triage network vs application faults, enable customer IT onboarding, and produce playbooks and feedback for product and engineering.

Design and build scalable full-stack web applications, develop backend services with Node.js and Python, and create responsive frontends with React. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-facing features and improve system performance.

Lead and coordinate complex federal robotics programs end-to-end: define milestones, manage budgets and resources, align cross-functional teams, track metrics and risks, prepare executive and investor communications, and ensure go-to-market and deployment readiness for safe, scalable robot systems.

Develop and optimize mapping and localization systems for robots, improve accuracy and performance of point cloud processing, and support collaborative efforts across robotics teams.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will design and maintain the infrastructure supporting CI/CD pipelines, work with container orchestration tools, and collaborate with engineering teams to improve development workflows.
