Supports transition-aged youth involved in the dependency system by coordinating services, advocating for client needs, documenting case activity, collaborating with attorneys and providers, and assisting with housing, education, employment, appointments, and transition planning. The role includes client visits, trauma-informed support, case consultations, hearing preparation, transportation when authorized, and communication with families, community organizations, and county personnel.

Represents children and youth in dependency proceedings through courtroom advocacy, legal research, motion and brief writing, case investigation, negotiation, witness preparation, and client counseling. The attorney manages multiple caseloads, maintains accurate case records and calendars, collaborates with multidisciplinary professionals, follows court and office procedures, and advocates for services and outcomes in clients’ best interests.

Provide legal representation for children in dependency proceedings: investigate cases, direct social work investigators, prepare motions/briefs, conduct courtroom advocacy, negotiate, coordinate services, and maintain client and case records while demonstrating cultural sensitivity and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Lead a team of four accountants to manage day-to-day accounting operations, serve as hands-on backup for transactional work, oversee grant and government contract financial management, ensure month-end close and GAAP-compliant reporting, manage tax filings (1099, CA Sales & Use), improve processes in Financial Edge NXT and Excel, and maintain audit-ready documentation.

Provide intensive legal representation to up to 60 youth/young adult CSEC clients in dependency court, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, coordinate with community and county agencies, develop provider relationships, assist policy team, deliver and receive CSEC training, and collaborate with the CLC CSEC team to ensure clients access services for transition from foster care.
