The Staff Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting across two entities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, reconciliations, expense reimbursements, vendor records, grant coding, and monthly close support. The role will assist with year-end 1099s, audits, process documentation, and accounting system improvements while helping transition bookkeeping in-house. It also serves as a resource for staff and vendors regarding expenses, documentation, and reimbursements.

The Grants Specialist writes and edits institutional grant proposals, reports, letters of inquiry, and funder communications. They research prospective funders, qualify opportunities, maintain grant calendars and records, coordinate internal reviews and submissions, gather program updates, and manage reporting deliverables. The role collaborates with philanthropy, development, and program teams while supporting climate and racial justice fundraising efforts.

The Accounting Manager owns monthly close and daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, expense coding, and outsourced bookkeeping oversight. The role manages grant tracking, restricted revenue, cost allocation across entities, funder reporting, budget-to-actual reporting, forecasting, audit support, and nonprofit compliance. It also partners with department leaders and supports the Finance Director with financial communication, budgeting, Form 990 preparation, and 501(c)(3)/(c)(4) and PAC accounting.
