Senior Audit Manager responsible for leading multiple nonprofit audit engagements from planning through completion, managing budgets and schedules, reviewing staff work, communicating with clients and partners, and developing team members. The role also supports business development and client relationship management. Candidates must have nonprofit accounting expertise, a bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA licensure, and at least seven years of public accounting experience. Travel is expected 10–15% of the time.

The Tax Manager will oversee tax strategies, manage a team of tax professionals, and provide consulting services to clients on tax-related issues while ensuring compliance with tax laws.

Leads Aprio’s State Income Tax practice, overseeing strategy, revenue growth, profitability, client service, business development, operations, and talent development. Advises clients on multistate income tax matters including nexus, apportionment, combined reporting, tax planning, compliance, ASC 740, and controversy. The role manages key client relationships, develops scalable processes, monitors financial performance, builds referral networks, and mentors senior tax professionals while driving practice expansion and market leadership.

Aprio seeks accounting students for Spring or Summer 2028 Tax or Audit internships in Woodland Hills, CA. Interns perform hands-on client work—preparing tax returns, tax research, audit testing, internal control evaluation—and collaborate with partners and managers. Programs include professional development, networking, group volunteer projects, and hybrid in-office mentorship (minimum three days). Candidates must be on track for CPA eligibility and committed to a public accounting career.

Lead and review complex individual, trust, and small business tax returns; provide tax planning and client consulting; manage engagements, mentor staff, and support strategic tax transformation initiatives.
