Alpaca Benefits Overview

Develop and operate authentication, authorization, and identity-provider services for APIs, customer products, and internal tools. Build Go backend services, gRPC/REST APIs, shared libraries, and React/TypeScript interfaces, with occasional Java work. Own services end to end, including data modeling, deployments, monitoring, troubleshooting, integrations, testing, incident response, and on-call support.

Own Alpaca’s regulated crypto product surface, including spot trading, stablecoin funding, custody and liquidity integrations, staking, lending, crypto APIs, and perpetual futures. Partner with engineering, compliance, legal, operations, and external customers to define and execute the roadmap. Evaluate market structure, regulatory developments, partner needs, technical feasibility, and business impact while delivering developer-focused infrastructure at scale.

Build and operate backend systems for securities lending, short borrowing, clearing, settlement, and brokerage operations. Own projects from scoping through production, develop partner APIs and batch pipelines, improve system scalability and reliability, integrate with external partners, and participate in on-call support. The role requires strong distributed-systems fundamentals and interest in securities finance and market infrastructure.
