Develop embedded software and firmware for networking layers in switches and related controller or sensor systems. The role requires extensive Embedded Linux, RTOS, bare-metal, C/C++, and Layer 2/3/4 networking experience. Experience in software-defined radios, modem design, automotive or avionics, AI, or space products is also relevant. Yocto and PetaLinux are preferred. This is a long-term contract with potential conversion to permanent employment in Southern California.

Design complex digital boards using high-end SoC FPGAs, high-speed interfaces, microprocessors, and power supplies. Perform signal and power integrity analysis using simulation tools, support EMC certification, and apply military and space hardware design experience. The role is hybrid in San Diego and offered on a contract-to-potential-permanent basis.

Designs and brings up high-speed digital circuit boards featuring DDR, FPGAs, and networking interfaces. Performs schematic capture, EMC mitigation and testing, signal integrity simulation, laboratory testing, board debugging, root-cause analysis, and verification reporting. Uses FPGA design tools and technologies including Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, Vitis, Vivado, Quartus, Xilinx devices, and Altera devices. Supports test case development and execution while applying verification methodologies relevant to the space industry.
