ThinkLA, the premiere trade association for LA's advertising community, has initiated the Silicon Beach Startup Award as part of the renowned IDEA Awards. “The level of creativity and innovation in media, marketing and advertising in LA, especially within the startup community, is inspiring and ties directly to the ThinkLA mission,” said Ben Sarmiento of the ThinkLA IDEA Council. “All of the entries thus far for the Startup Award are exceptional, and we look forward to the tough competition in the remaining weeks for submissions, which are accepted through March 3.”
The Silicon Beach Startup Award will go to “a young, innovative company working to solve a marketing/advertising problem and create a repeatable, scalable business model.” To be eligible, the company must be privately owned, have more than three full-time employees, be headquartered in Los Angeles County. and launched no earlier than 2011.
The entry process is quick and straightforward: submit a two-page PDF document summarizing evidence of success in solving a key advertising/marketing challenge, the unique characteristics about the firm’s business, and why the business should win (e.g., submit one case study).
The IDEA Awards honor campaigns, agencies, startups, clients, marketers, media partners, and individuals that exemplify the best the LA region has to offer. The objective is to showcase exceptional creative, innovative and results-oriented work; and in doing so, increase our collective knowledge and inspire future success.
