Telltale Games, a developer and publisher of narrative-focused games, is acquiring London-based interactive video technology company Flavourworks. Telltale recently launched The Expanse: A Telltale Series, which is a prequel to the eponymous television series and its first new game following the studio’s revival.
The acquisition of Flavourworks, which was founded in 2015 and has previously created several cinematic game titles, will expand Telltale’s capabilities in interactive storytelling, including for touchscreens and smart TVs. Flavourworks CEO Zachary Slatter will join the Telltale management team as managing director, Europe.
Telltale and Flavourworks both share an investor in HIRO Capital — an investor specializing in games and metaverse technologies.
