Two Bit Circus creates foundation

Two Bit Circus continues to bolster its reputation of being the most interesting tech startup in LA. First, it was the micro amusement parks. Then it was the addition of a former water park chain CEO to the organization. This time, the startup has teamed up with T4G.org to create the Two Bit Circus Foundation. Hulu announces speed watching platform

Santa Monica-based Hulu announced earlier this week the creation of Hu, a service designed to help television enthusiasts speed watch their favorite TV programs on Hulu. Utilizing the startup's treasure trove of data, Hulu has designed a formula to condense shows into bite-sized clips. [Hulu]

 

WeBuyGold launches, names DJ Khaled Chief Creative Officer

Venice-based Naritiv made waves in March when the company's analytics solution was acquired by HootSuite, with a few Naritiv veterans choosing to stick around and help build the Canadian tech company's presence here in LA. Much of the Naritiv team, however, chose a different route. Launched out of Naritiv, WeBuyGold is a brand new media company that will develop several original short-form series for multiple platforms focused on the music industry. Additionally, the company named DJ Khaled its creative director. In this capacity, Khaled will assist in developing, producing and appearing WeBuyGold's original content. [WeBuyGold]

 

Silicon Valley poised for a brain drain? 

With tech communities like LA, Austin, Chicago and NYC booming, options are aplenty for talented tech employees to find a career in a place that's not Silicon Valley. This, of course, isn't so great for Silicon Valley. According to Indeed, San Francisco and San Jose have the third lowest growth of inbound tech job search at just 2 percent.
