Ping Identity acquires UnboundID
Identity security company Ping Identity announced this week it has acquired UnboundID, maker of customer identity and access management software. The deal is expected to add to Ping Identity’s suite of tools, allowing for better customer experience, from acquisition to retention. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. It is Ping Identity’s first acquisition after having been sold to Vista Equity Partners in July. [InnovatioNews]
Parkifi to set up shop in Larimer Square
Parking monitor company Parkifi will move into SendGrid’s former Larimer Square office later this year, taking over the company’s 15,000 square foot space. SendGrid is combining their Denver and Boulder teams and moving into a new office at 1801 California St., leaving their office at 1451 Larimer St. open. Fellow startups Wishlist and ThrivePass will move to Larimer Square as well, continuing to sublease space from Parkifi. The company plans to add up to 65 employees in the next year and a half. Rep. Jared Polis to celebrate Startup Day Across America at Northern Colorado and Boulder-area startups
In honor of Startup Day Across America, U.S. Congressman Jared Polis will tour startups in his district, which includes Fort Collins, Loveland, Longmont and Boulder. Following visits at Northern Colorado companies, Polis will host a Startup Showcase with Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker in Boulder. Rep. Polis launched Startup Day Across America alongside Rep. Red Canary raises $6.1M series A
Red Canary announced the closure of their Series A round, in which they raised $6.1 million from Access Venture Partners, Noro Moseley Partners, Service Provider Capital and Kyrus, an existing investor. With this new round, the 15-person company plans to essentially double their team, hiring between 10 and 15 people in the next six to 12 months. [Built In Colorado]
Two Denver startups named to 500 Startups’ Batch18
Denver startups Silvernest and Homebot were announced as members of 500 Startups’ 18th Batch earlier this week. The companies will join 44 others at 500 Startups’ incubator program in San Francisco later this year. Silvernest pairs older adults with extra space with people looking for somewhere to live. Homebot’s software helps homeowners with financial planning, with an emphasis on optimizing the ROI of purchasing a home. [TechCrunch]
