On Friday, Rogue Games announced that it raised $2 million in an investment round led by Runa Capital. This brings the video game publishing company’s total funding raised to $3.4 million since it was founded in 2018.
Although the company is relatively young, it was built by several veterans of the video game industry. The company has released a notable portfolio of games, including Chaos Battle League, Oz: Broken Kingdom, Sociable Soccer, Super Impossible Road and many more. These games span across an array of genres and formats, and can be played on console, PC or mobile. This new funding will allow the company to continue this momentum as it continues to roll out new games.
“We have an amazing development pipeline with a lot of original, innovative games scheduled for this year alone. Our new funds will allow us to continue to grow and invest in new platforms and services and ensure our games continue to capture deep engagement with a global gaming audience,” CEO and founder Mike DeLaet said in a statement.
The company says that it was planning on revealing specific titles at the annual E3 video game conference, but that conference is no longer happening. Instead, Rogue says it plans to tease new releases in the upcoming weeks and months.
The first game it’s revealing is Coreupt, a free-to-play 3D fighter being built for console and PC. You can watch a teaser of that game here.
Rogue Games has also launched its #PlayApartTogether campaign, encouraging gamers to adhere to the World Health Organization’s social distancing guidelines. What better way to do that than playing video games?
