Procode AI, a company offering AI-powered revenue cycle management solutions, launched from stealth on Monday with $4 million in funding led by Story Ventures. The company provides private practice surgeons with an AI-powered copilot solution that enables faster and more accurate medical coding.

Procode’s Coding Copilot product translates operative reports into billing and diagnostic codes. The company’s launch announcement coincides with its acquisition of the Auctus Group, a biller for plastic surgeons and dermatologists. Combined with the Auctus Group’s offerings, Procode helps make accounts renewable and denial management more reliable by reducing coding-related denials, and it gives surgeons easy access to claims and financial data through the Auctus provider mobile app.

“As a surgeon, choosing a medical biller means trusting all of your insurance-based income to one company,” Dr. Kameron Rezzadeh, Procode co-founder, said in a statement. “At Procode, we’re building technology that ensures that providers are reimbursed fairly for procedures that they perform, and that they are reimbursed faster than ever before.”
