Claros has raised $30 million in a seed funding round led by General Catalyst and Red Cell Partners, with participation from Systemiq Capital, Aero X Ventures and Trenches Capital, to support continued product development and team growth.
According to a news release on Thursday, Claros is building a “chip-to-grid” platform designed to reduce energy waste caused by the growing power demands of data centers. Its technology includes an integrated voltage regulator that delivers power directly to processing units, as well as a “Power Gateway” system that reduces energy loss from AC/DC conversion and connects efficiently with power sources, helping data centers deploy faster and operate more efficiently.
“We can’t ignore the immense energy demands that come with AI workloads and the strain they place on electrical grids throughout the United States and around the world. To address these concerns, we must reinvent the entire power system with meaningful solutions that minimize energy waste so data centers can unlock greater efficiency and productivity,” Claros CEO Daniel Kultran said in a statement.
Since emerging from stealth in February 2025 with nearly $10 million in initial funding, Claros has developed three voltage regulator designs now being tested at its Los Angeles lab and expanded its team by nearly 30 employees.
