Tastemade to provide video for Facebook

Tastemade, the Santa Monica-based culinary video network, agreed to a content deal with Facebook this week. Arena Ventures builds momentum

The West Hollywood VC Arena Ventures has made waves in recent months as it has raised more than $27 million from investors. The venture firm is led by Paige Craig, a former marine who has been running the business out of his apartment. Arena has made investments in startups including Meerkat and Laurel & Wolf. Snapchat eyes IPO

The Venice based picture sharing app is about ready to hit the market. Speaking at the Code conference in Rancho Palos Verde, Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel alluded to an inevitable IPO. Enervee raises $3.7M

Enervee, a Santa-Monica based data and commerce platform raised $3.7 million in funding this week. The company helps shoppers select household appliances and electronics that are energy efficient and eco-friendly.
