Following up Built In LA's Built In LA's Spring Startup Showcase won't be easy, but these five events are worth checking out.

Targeting Marketing Tactics - Finding Your Best AudienceMay 4 at 8 a.m.

An event held at the Encino Chamber of Commerce will help small business owners to create an intuitive marketing calendar. The informal event will be a great opportunity for local businessmen and businesswomen to network, learn a little about marketing and enjoy some coffee and bagels.

Thursday! WRKPRTY @ Catamaran StreetMay 5 at 9 a.m.

WRKPRTY, a pop-up coworking space, is hosting a coworking event at its location in Marina del Rey. Attendees will enjoy a view of the canal, high speed Internet, several monitors, free parking and an adorable cat. First time attendees are free!

LADataTech Monthly MixRMay 5 at 6 p.m.

Santa Monica plays host to this month's LADataTech MixR. The event will feature a happy hour, and it's a great place for local data tech professionals to mingle. Discussions aren't limited to business!

Fireside chat with Sean Ellis & 500 StartupsMay 5 at 6:30 p.m.

Hosted by 500 Startups, a Silicon Valley venture capital seed fund & startup accelerator founded by former PayPal & Google alumni, the event will feature Sean Ellis, founder and CEO of GrowthHackers, in addition to being the founder and CEO of Qualaroo.
