Summary: ZS helps employees build long-term careers through continuous learning, supportive colleagues and access to diverse, high-impact projects across industries. The experiences of Kumar Ritwick and Carolina Blanco show how the firm empowers people at every stage — from intern to principal — to grow, innovate and make meaningful client impact.

Why Continuous Learning Defines Career Growth at ZS

“When I joined ZS straight out of school, I never imagined it would become the only job I’d ever want.”

That’s what Principal Kumar Ritwick had to say when reflecting on his career at ZS. Since joining the firm 15 years ago, he has mastered the nuances of managing client relationships and moved from Delhi to Boston, where he has lived ever since.

“What’s kept me here isn’t just the role — it’s the constant evolution of the work itself,” Ritwick said.

ZS is a launchpad for ambitious talent, giving them the space and support needed to build fulfilling careers. Carolina Blanco learned this firsthand when she joined the firm as an intern at its Buenos Aires office.

While she didn’t quite know what kind of career she wanted when she initially started her internship, she soon discovered how much she enjoyed working with clients. Blanco’s enthusiasm and diligence ultimately led to her promotion to business technology solutions associate consultant three years after her internship.

“I really enjoy the work I do because it’s the perfect mix of challenge and support,” she said.

For Ritwick and Blanco, ZS has been a catalyst for professional fulfillment, enabling each of them to build careers defined by continuous learning and ongoing impact.

How Kumar Ritwick Built a 15-Year Career Through Evolving Client Work and Supportive Teams

When Ritwick first began working at ZS, he partnered with a global pharmaceutical company, which honed his commercial analytics skills.

Every project he took on was a learning curve, including deep dives into patient-level analytics and building strategies focused on providers and payers, all of which helped him evolve into a true specialist.

“Even though I was working with the same client for years, it never felt repetitive,” Ritwick said.

Currently, his team orchestrates integrated sales and marketing strategies for healthcare clients, a task that combines AI, strategy and creativity.

“Integrating sales and marketing is crucial in healthcare because it’s not just about running campaigns — it’s about building intelligent, connected ecosystems that ensure doctors receive timely, relevant and consistent information when it matters most,” Ritwick said.

By equipping sales reps with predictive, data-driven insights, his team empowers them to tailor their pitches to each physician’s unique needs and patient population, driving engagement and changing outcomes for patients.

“Our goal is to harmonize the sales and marketing journey so that every engagement, personal or digital, feels cohesive to the doctors providing care,” Ritwick said.

While the work itself has positively shaped Ritwick’s experience at ZS, his coworkers are the reason why he has stayed at the firm for so long.

“The culture here is one where I’ve consistently worked with people who are not only brilliant, but also kind, collaborative and endlessly supportive,” he said. “I’ve collaborated with some colleagues for over a decade; people I truly enjoy working with and respect. It never gets old.”

With opportunities to drive innovation, tackle purposeful client work and contribute to a strong internal culture, Ritwick feels fulfilled every day he shows up to work, compelling him to continue building his career at ZS.

“I’ve never had a reason to look elsewhere,” he said. “There’s always something new to learn and always great people to learn from.”

How Carolina Blanco Grew From Intern to Consultant Through Mentorship and Real Client Impact

The moment Blanco began her internship at ZS, she was immersed in real project work.

“From the beginning, I was included in client-facing activities,” she said. “I had a great consultant on my team who pushed me to grow, always in a supportive way. He gave me space to lead calls and take on work I didn’t yet know how to do, then helped me learn it.”

Blanco quickly built a strong foundation in consulting and gained the confidence to grow. Her current team works at the intersection of technology and client engagement with a focus on data engineering analysis, building tech solutions that make it easier for clients to find and understand important insights.

“I really enjoy the work I do because it’s the perfect mix of challenge and support,” Blanco said. “I get to keep learning, whether it’s new technologies or new ways of working with clients, and I’m surrounded by people who genuinely want to help each other grow. Every project feels like an opportunity to make an impact on the client, the world and my team.”

According to her, there are always ample opportunities to tackle a diverse range of high-impact work, making ZS an exciting workplace for people who are eager to challenge themselves.
