We're huge fans of Netflix here at OCEAN | STREET so naturally we consume all of their content. And I mean all of their content. From movies and shows to social media content and job posts especially. While reviewing a recent job ad on LinkedIn we noticed a hilarious mistake.
So six days ago Netflix posts a job for a Coordinator, Social Media - Netflix Originals on LinkedIn. The whole job advertisement is pretty dead on as far as ad copy goes. The post is humorous, thoughtful and definitely tailored towards attracting a special / specific personality. As you make your way down the post you arrive at a bullet point that starts off with * Meticulous attention to detail. And shortly after you should notice a hilarious mistake. Here's a screenshot below.
See The Hilarious Screw Up Here
Ok so we're definitely not the grammar police. In fact, you'll probably find more mistakes in this post than a third grader's first essay. The hilarious part is that who ever wrote this job ad for Netflix was serious enough to mention that "Every single item published is an official statement from the brand" and then goes on to make an error immediately after.
So do you think this was done on purpose? Maybe this is a test for candidates. Maybe they will only look applications from people who pointed out the error. After all, they're looking for someone to notice these mistakes.
