Send Me to Heaven is a new game from Norwegian developer CarrotPop and scores users on how high they can chuck their smartphone into the sky. Android users can now download the app, which launched earlier this week, for free, but apple rejected it on the grounds “it’s encouraging behavior which could lead to a damage of iOS device," Petr Svarovsky, the game's developer, told the Los Angeles Times.
Ummm yeah… and not really sure how Google Play can consider it a “Sport” game but for anyone with enough disposable income to buy extra phones after sudden impact and who will agree to the above waiver, the game uses the phones accelerometer to measure the distance in meters that players throw their phone in the air. You can then also compare your scores in worldwide, weekly and daily top 10 lists.
Does this game actually encourage physical activity in gamers who wouldn’t otherwise exercise… is that a good trade off… is this even exercise?
