Connecting Canada and Silicon Beach: Innovation, Partnerships & Business Opps, May 2 at 9:30 a.m.
Many Angelenos don't know about the rich tech community north of the border. This week, General Assembly will host an event dedicated to fostering relationships between LA's tech community and Canada's. The event will feature representatives of Canadian tech companies and organizations, as well as James Villeneuve, the consul general of Canada in Los Angeles.
G'Day USA Innovators Xchange 2017, May 3 at 9:30 a.m.
Canada isn't the only country looking to make inroads with LA tech this week. On Wednesday, a group of tech representatives from the U.S. and Australia will gather to discuss future technologies companies in both countries are working on. The event, presented by Northrop Grumman, will feature TED-style talks and a sure-to-be awesome networking event.
Established Space Companies Pitch Startups, May 3 at 2 p.m.
This week, a particularly interesting event will take place in Long Beach. Established space companies and government entities like Lockheed Martin, Aerojet Rocketdyne and NASA will pitch local startups on the funded projects they're working on and discuss the challenges they're facing.
Health & Bio Tech — ToolBox LA, May 3 at 6 p.m.
ToolBox LA continues its series of events with one located at the WeWork Pasadena this week. Stop by and hear experts from the health and biotech sector discuss what they're working on, and what they expect to see in their industries moving forward.
Silicon Beach Networking Mixer at Sunny Spot In Venice, May 4 at 6:30 p.m.
Thursday night is referred to as "professionals' night" for a reason. It's still the work week, but there's really only one more day left until the weekend. This mixer is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the beautiful area around Venice and Marina Del Rey and support local female entrepreneurs at the same time.
