Lightning Learning - Sponsored by Athena Health and Capital Factory, Aug. 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Head to Capital Factory for the Women Who Code lightning talks that will hit on topics pertaining to programming, technology and experiences as a woman in technology. Each topic will be about five to 10 minutes long.

Data Visualization and Intro to Tableau, Aug. 8 at 6:30 p.m.

General Assembly will host a class on data visualization to help attendees describe, analyze and communicate data in a business setting. This class will cover basic principles of data visualization, how to use data viz to convey a message and how to create complex, dynamic visualizations.

Business & Creatives Soiree, Aug. 9 at 6 p.m.

The City of Austin’s Cultural Arts Division has partnered with GAACC to unveil ways of supporting and retaining the creative community by connecting them to businesses. The first Business Creatives Soiree will be held this Wednesday. Hosted in collaboration with Big Medium and Art Alliance Austin, the event will take place at Canopy, a redeveloped warehouse space anchored by Big Medium.  

Campfire Networking at The Incubator for Innovation and Impact, Aug. 10 at 5:30 p.m.

The Incubator for Innovation and Impact at Concordia University welcomes Michelle Poole for this month’s networking event. Poole, a career and leadership coach, is the co-owner of Coaching 4 Good and Wolfgang Career Coaching.

JavaScript Mini Bootcamp: Fundamentals I, Aug 13. At 10 a.m.

Hack Reactor is hosting a mini boot camp this Sunday on the basics of JavaScript. By the end of the workshop, attendees should feel comfortable writing simple functions with conditionals and for loops. This boot camp is for beginners with very little JavaScript experience. Please bring a laptop.
