The world’s largest hackathon competition is coming to LA this weekend: AngelHack LA will set up shop at the coworking space BLANKSPACES for a 24-hour coding competition.

The competition will begin May 17 with teams forming to build new and exciting products. Junior and senior developers, designers, engineers and entrepreneurs are welcome to join forces to build the next big thing. Featuring over $100,000 in prizes, AngelHack will have teachers on hand throughout the hackathon to get teams going.

All teams must demo their project at the end to have a chance at the grand prize: acceptance into the 2014 spring HACKcelerator program and a trip to San Francisco. HACKcelerator is a global pre-accelerator program designed to help top hackathon teams turn their hacks into market ready products. They will provide winners with the platform for connecting with amazing mentors and a series of events in Silicon Valley to connect with investors and media.

In 2013, AngelHack had hackathons in over 70 cities around the world and played host to over 10,00 attendees. This weekend's tickets are available here (if you want a free one, by the way, enter "Builtin100LA").
