1. Data Science @ Datapop, Jan 13 at 6:30 p.m.
Today’s eCommerce has evolved into a complex multi-dimensional optimization problem. DataPop’s semantic technology and Marketing Knowledge Graph is used to generate Omni-Channel advertising campaigns. This presentation will review our technology stack, machine learning models, discuss what worked what did not work for us and do a live demo of Marketing Knowledge Graph.
2. DTLA UX Study Group & Peer Mentorship, Jan. 13 at 6:30 p.m.
It isn't often we get someone from the west side to trek 'all the way' downtown and it's even more rare to get a UX practitioner of Lane Halley's caliber to review our work personally.
3. Linux Trivia Night, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m.
This month we're taking a break from the usual speaker/topic/presentation format and we've got Trivia Night! With prizes. Good prizes too - an Arduino kit, a Linux-on-a-stick, several books, and some geek-pop-culture books and paraphernalia.
4. Company-Owned or Personal Devices? What's your policy?, Jan. 14 at 10 a.m.
BYOD can be defined as any strategy that allows people to use their own devices, whether occasionally, primarily or exclusively, for work. Many organizations allow people to supplement their corporate-owned machine(s) with additional devices e.g. smartphones, tablets, laptops, home PCs-as needed for optimal flexibility, mobility and productivity. This session will provide a basis for defining a BYOD policy that makes sense and will help protect your organization.
5. Building Your Brand with Original Online Content, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m.
