1. Targeting Marketing Tactics: Finding Your Best Audience, Jan. 6 at 8 a.m.

The purpose of this event is to help business owners put together their marketing calendar for 2014.  If we know when everything is supposed to happen, we eliminate the marketing melt downs which can plague our prosperity!

2. Getting More From Agile or Scrum, Jan. 6 at 10 a.m.

Scrum is a software development methodology based on Agile principles. Agile methodologies promote a project management process that encourages frequent inspection and adaptation, a leadership philosophy using teamwork, self-organization and accountability, with strong customer involvement.

3. General Assembly DTLA Open House, Jan. 7 at 7 p.m.

4. Jon Morra @ eHarmony, Jan. 8 at 12 p.m.

eHarmony has been creating successful matches for over 15 years. Over that time, our processes have grown in complexity from handmade linear functions to very complex multi-stage pipelines involving some of the latest techniques in data processing, data mining, and machine learning. In this talk I will go over our current data pipeline and highlight recent changes, including the addition of image processing and contextual bandit learning to help improve users' experience on our site.

5. Entrepreneur_SHIFT, Jan. 10 at 10 a.m.
