Telesign, an LA-based developer of customer identity and engagement tools, launched the Continuous Trust Authority on Wednesday. The global initiative aims to help make the digital world a safer place, according to the company.
Its new initiative seeks to bring together a collection of resources, insights and experts that allow brands to build trust with their customers. Telesign developed the Continuous Trust Authority to help create a world where people safely conduct business online and without fear of data or digital theft, Telesign said in a statement.
In the coming months, the authority will come to include components such as the Trust Index, which is an annual study geared toward understanding the role of trust in the digital world, and the Trust Certified Badge, which brands that have implemented fraud prevention standards can display. The authority will also include the Trust Alliance, a group of trust and digital identity specialists who will share their best practices.
“We understand that building trust is a collaborative effort, and we’re proud to partner with our customers to create a safer and more secure business environment,” Kristi Melani, Telesign’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “By working together, we can combat fraud and other risks to help the digital world become a more trustworthy place for everyone.”
Serving enterprise customers, Telesign’s platform leverages machine learning and data science to verify more than five billion unique phone numbers per month, according to the company. By connecting and defending enterprise customers’ digital identities, Telesign strives to prevent fraud, secure communications and enable the digital economy.
