A laid-back week on the West Coast gave the Los Angeles tech scene time to reset and wind down. A handful of new developments still came from the City of Angels during this slower news week. Check out what these companies are up to with the Built In LA Weekly Refresh.

LA Tech Quote of the Week

“Each product or unit can be used at least 20 times, and having that component of re-loving and recycling your product makes sense. I think a lot of families and brands will tend to throw things away … and that has not stopped. We’re going to hand [pieces] down to other families, not just our family or our brother and sister, but other families nationwide.” — Sheena Jongeneel, Stylette co-founder and CEO

Stylette was featured in the Built In Future 5 series. The venture spearheaded by mother and entrepreneur Sheena Jongeneel connects parents to an online rental platform featuring children’s clothing for special occasions. The platform helps parents save money on clothes that their kids would otherwise quickly outgrow, and it helps to fuel a more sustainable model for the fashion sector. [Built In LA]
