While more and more companies are turning to the cloud for their data management, not all have the tools to make that transition.

Consulting firm Mission just raised $15 million to help solve that problem. Based in Los Angeles and Boston, Mission provides customers with consultants to help them adopt Amazon Web Services. Since launching in 2017, the company has partnered with more than 200 businesses.

We remain focused on helping more organizations achieve their cloud goals, no matter how challenging.”

With this round, Mission plans to expand its services to Chicago and continue to grow its consulting services. Existing investor, Great Hill Partners, led the round. The funding will help the company build on the growth it has made in 2018, said Stewart Armstrong, Mission’s CFO, in a statement.

“The Great Hill team continues to be a valuable partner for Mission, and I’m excited to put this additional funding to work as we expand and optimize our go-to-market strategies and accelerate the deployment of new, world-class technologies and services to our customers,” Armstrong said. “We remain focused on helping more organizations achieve their cloud goals, no matter how challenging, with our expertly orchestrated AWS management and optimization.”

The consulting firm works with companies across industries. According to the company, it has helped Biblica to manage its WordPress website on AWS, assisted LifeLock in moving its website to AWS to improve response time, and migrated eight terabytes of data to the cloud in less than three months for ATCC.

The round will enable the company to expand its cloud consulting team and solution architects.
