The Techstars Healthcare Accelerator, in partnership with Cedars Sinai, announced their participating companies this morning.
The 11 members of the inaugural class will spend three months working with Cedar Sinai doctors and nurses, as well as investors and entrepreneurs, to help develop their healthcare technologies. A majority of the selected companies are local Los Angeles startups.
“Cedars-Sinai has partnered with Techstars to foster cutting edge, innovative technology with the mission of improving patient care. Each of the 11 Healthcare Accelerator companies are directly helping patients or improving the quality of care delivered by healthcare providers," said Omkar Kulkarni from Cedars-Sinai, who serves as the Director of the program, in a statement. "Los Angeles has a burgeoning healthcare innovation scene, with experts from the academic, healthcare delivery, technology, life sciences and investment communities coming together to support entrepreneurs develop and grow their ideas into products and services."
