ServiceTitan, the Glendale-based mobile management platform for home service businesses, announced a $18 million series A round today.

The funding was led by Bessemer Venture Partners and will be allocated towards growing their SaaS software user base and growing their team from 49 employees to 120 by the end of the year.

Founded in 2013, the platform helps companies streamline their operations by allowing them to schedule appointments, find and dispatch available technicians, and collect payments on site.

Co-founder and CEO Ara Mahdessian said the recent entry by Amazon and Google into the home service management industry emphasizes the market’s potential.

But for Mahdessian, the ambition to revolutionize the home service industry is rooted in first-hand experience.

“Our parents were first generation contractors, and growing up we saw how difficult it is to manage a growing business and compete with the right rate for customers,” Mahdessian said. “After graduating, I thought there must be a better way, so instead of taking jobs at established tech companies, I decided to do something that would make my parents proud and help them.”

ServiceTitan graduated from the Mucker Accelerator and has experienced 10x growth in revenue last year. Their companies now visit 1.8 million households and manage over a billion dollars in transactions annually.

“Our vision is to help every home service company find success on our platform,” Mahdessian said. “We hope to create an ecosystem of products, services, and people around ServiceTitan to provide even more value to our customers.”
