Honk, a roadside assistance app company, has just raised a $12 million Series A round. The app lets users order tow trucks at a discount, without paying an annual subscription fee like a AAA kind of service would require. Via HONK users can order tow, tire change, jump start, fuel, or lock out services on demand and the company has over 20,000 trucks participating. Honk claims most service trucks arrive in 15 to 30 minutes and customers see the final price before they order.  Since launching in November 2014, Honk has raised $13.8 million in total.
