7 ways to use Built In LA to find a tech job

1. Advertise yourself on Built In LA
 
By filling in your interests and skills within your profile it makes it easier for recruiters and other tech professionals to find you on Built In LA. Make changes under "Edit Profile."
 
Availability: Let people know you are open to discussing new job opportunities.

Special Tip: If you don’t want to tip off your employer that you are job searching, simply click the incognito button, so your employer won’t be able to see. Your availability will only be seen by recruiters at local startups and you can create a blacklist to block specific recruiters from seeing your status.
 
 
2. Subscribe to the Built In LA weekly jobs newsletter email
 
Once a week we send an email tailored to the job categories you are interested in. This is a great way to passively track new job postings. Within Settings check the boxes and wait for your weekly email.

3. Connect to tech professionals on Built In LA
 
Built In LA has over 10,000 members and growing. Many of these members are important tech executives, founders and investors. Connecting with them, starting a conversation and meeting up with them in person can do wonders for your job search.

When you know what's going on in the local tech community it tells hiring tech companies you are engaged with their industry. Following tech news can also give you a better understanding of what is going on within a company (like hiring or special perks).
