VP of Marketing

BloomNation is looking for a VP of Marketing to build/lead our marketing team. We are looking for an expert in customer acquisition that can build our user base through business development and other low cost/ high volume user acquisition channels.  This will be a massive undertaking that will change the face of the company. 

As a disruptor in the $35 billion flower industry, you will be tasked with educating the public on why shopping directly with a local florist is revolutionary and infinitely better than going through a sordid floral broker.  With the most beautiful flowers and products at your fingertips, you will be able to showcase our unique and localized inventory and redefine the flower shopping experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Own a marketing team that showcases the disruptiveness and advantage of BloomNation; tell us what this team can be, and then make your vision a reality
  • Identify, forge and develop partnership opportunities to enable continued rapid consumer growth
  • Propose, prioritize and lead new initiatives and partnerships from the concept phase, through evaluation, scoping and successful execution
  • Source, evaluate and test new user acquisition channels
  • Oversee all new customer acquisition & retention marketing channels including but not limited to, search marketing (SEM and SEO), display advertising, affiliate marketing, retargeting, and social marketing
  • Conduct analysis to validate the accuracy of the LTV model for paid campaigns
  • Report weekly and monthly on the progress of all channels

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience doing business development, marketing and customer acquisition
  • Understand BloomNation’s unique market position and what advantages and challenges this presents for marketing channels
  • Outstanding creativity and drive; superb verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of effectively negotiating business agreements and developing business relationships that impact company performance
  • Expertise in developing, analyzing and modeling business cases
  • Strong business acumen and ability to synthesize and analyze data to identify trends and marketing opportunities
  • Strong understanding of advertising through Facebook, Google and other scalable ad channels
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task with excellent organization skills. Pays attention to both details and macro-level outcomes  
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, think strategically and handle uncertainty and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about flowers, helping local artisans thrive, and technology
