As a User Interface Designer, you will use your skills to:
  • Implement a cross-discipline perspective that considers multiple aspects of the brand/business/experience and creates a way for businesses to align with design to solve problems.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to problem-solve, create, and implement innovative and industry related solutions for the user experience.
  • Consider the moments of engagement / touch-points between people and the brand, as well as the ideas and emotions these moments create.
  • Execute user interface design stages from concept to final hand-off to Engineering utilizing UI best practices, trends, and interactions.
  • Develop initial interface designs and assets to create prototypes for testing.
  • Produce interface iterations based on feedback from internal reviews and user testing.
  • In collaboration with the Senior Designer and Product team, participate in producing wireframes, product assets, and other design-related activities.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to evolve brand direction, producing any brand or marketing-related materials.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to the Product team, Engineering tam, and key stakeholders. Articulate logic behind design decisions-the benefits and tradeoffs.
Requirements
  • BA in Graphic Design with emphasis on UI/UX design, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience working within both Waterfall and Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
  • Experience creating User Interfaces for desktop and mobile platforms, including strong knowledge in responsive design practices and execution.
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI and UX trends, techniques, best practices, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with user-centered design, usability principles and techniques.
  • Experience in translating user research and usability test findings into iterative product solutions.
  • Expertise in building interactive prototypes to illustrate your design for web sites and mobile apps using modern technologies, including quick prototyping tools.
  • Fluency with Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Knowledge of prototyping tools and process tools for design deliverable hand-offs such as Invision, Zeplin, etc.
  • Knowledge of iOS and android processes, standards and technologies. Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript technologies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams of Product Managers, Marketing, Engineers, and Management-level stakeholders to implement and present designs.
  • The ability to both lead and execute visual design efforts.
  • Organized, self-motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented—while being able to look at the big picture, and a desire to learn with the ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Pragmatic and passionate outlook on the things people use everyday.
  • The ability to deal with pressure within a fast paced environment.
  • An excellent communicator (verbally and written).
