Trust & Safety Data Analyst

We’re looking for a Trust & Safety Data Analyst to join Team Snapchat! Working closely with the Trust & Safety team, you will analyze workflow patterns, data, and reporting behavior to optimize our processes, improve user experience, implement technical solutions, and optimize algorithms. Working from our Venice, CA headquarters, you’ll collaborate with Customer Operations, Engineering, and Product Management to find and solve problems to keep our Snapchatters safe by using data to motivate people to action.
What you’ll do:
- Work cross-functionally to develop tools that will identify and surface abusive behavior across the platform
- Identify automation opportunities to mitigate abusive behavior
- Enhance our operational workflows via process improvements
- Use data to give voice to problems that need more attention
What we’re looking for:
- BA/BS in Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative field
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Understanding of statistical analysis, and has some experience with packages such as R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc
- Experience designing and enhancing workflows
- Profound data manipulation experience, including work with excel and/or SQL and visualization software (tableau, etc.)
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Coding (e.g., C/C++, Python, Java), Databases and Querying (e.g., SQL, MySQL, MapReduce, Hadoop), Front End Development (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, CSS), Statistical Analysis (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS, SAS)
- Fluency in SQL, data manipulation, and trend analysis using various software (spreadsheets, Tableau, looker)
- Excellent project management experience with adherence to tight deadlines and shifting priorities
- Able to work cross-functionally across an organization with a track record of using data to influence and drive decisions
- Experience working within a Trust & Safety environment strongly preferred
