The Role

We are hiring a Staff Accountant to join the finance team at Wpromote. We are a fast growing digital company that is expanding geographically and into new service lines. The new Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting monthly and year end closings with a significant focus around balance sheet reconciliations and accounts payable processing. The ideal candidate will be extremely hands-on as well as someone who can complete tasks in a timely manner. We are looking for a candidate with ambition and who is not afraid to get in the trenches in order to meet deadlines.

You Will Be

• Processing accounts payable from the receipt of the vendor invoice to the actual processing of payment
• Reviewing and reconciling spreadsheets with general ledger and trial balance amounts
• Calculating and entering journal entries and maintaining supporting records and files
• Supporting monthly close process
• Assisting with annual audit
• Answering accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
• Working closely with finance team and departmental managers
• Meeting work deliverable timelines
• Helping shape process and controls

You Must Have

• 3-5 + years of in-house accounting experience
• A/P and bank reconciliation experience
• Strong technical accounting background and excellent documentation skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be able to communicate with all levels of management
• Familiarity with Quickbooks
• Strong Excel and Google apps skills
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
• A positive attitude
