The Software Web Developer will be part of the Software Engineering Division. This team develops the software that will build, integrate, and support Hyperloop One. Ultimately, we will build the applications that make Hyperloop One a reality. We are seeking candidates with various levels of experience to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our Los Angeles facility.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
• Implement creative solutions to tough problems.
• Create test plans for software releases.
• Keep reliability as top priority.

Requirements:

• B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or minimum 4 years work experience as a Software Engineer.
• Software development experience in one or more object oriented programming languages.
• Experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, mobile application development, database creation and maintenance, and/or developing large software systems.
• Experience defining, developing, and maintaining REST based interfaces.
• Experience working with HTML5, CSS (or some pre-processed deritive of it), and Javscript. Working knowledge of at least 1 javascript framework required.
• Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English.

Preferred Requirements:

• Interest and ability to learn coding languages as needed.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Experience with Docker, Jenkins, or other deployment methodologies.
• Experience with Testing practices - unit, integration, and end-to-end.
• Experience with Git.
• Experience with relational and no-sql databases. (MSSQL, mysql, mongo, and others)
• Comfortable presenting to groups.
