What you will be doing at Beachbody as a Senior Royalties Analyst?

A self-motivated individual to report directly to the Manager, Royalties Accounting at the corporate headquarters in Santa Monica, CA.

In this role you will be actively involved in the calculation, processing, reporting, and analysis of Royalties paid out to our talents.  

This role will also be involved in the financial reporting process, account reconciliation and overall month-end process.

• Calculate royalties based on contractual terms and analyze sales by brand.
• Prepare monthly royalty statements for Trainers, Talents & Producers.
• Prepare quarterly bad debt adjustments.
• Interact with various departments to insure accuracy in calculation of royalty statements.
• Meet monthly with the VP of Accounting, CFO and CLO to go over the royalty analysis.
• Assist in streamlining the royalty process.
• Prepare month-end close entries for accrued royalties and royalty advances.
• Assist in preparing supporting schedules for the year-end audit.
• Perform other related analysis, and complete special projects as assigned.

• BA or BS with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years royalties or equivalent experience.
• Must have a thorough understanding of royalty calculations and terms.
• Ability to formulate and implement well thought out solutions to day-to-day issues with minimal supervision.
• Team player that can thrive in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail while producing accurate and high-quality work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite: (Excel, Word and Outlook).
• Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Excel skills.
• Oracle experience a plus.
• Knowledge of GAAP a plus.
• Prior experience with general accounting a plus.
• Background in entertainment industry a plus.
